I’m the founder of Brainfit Kids and I believe our unique method can help children and families with brain-based challenges such as autism, ADHD, sensory processing, anxiety, dyslexia, dyspraxia and many other conditions.
I’m passionate about delivering the best program possible to get optimal results so families and children can enjoy their lives fully.
I love my two Border Collies, Rokkie and Jimmy, and Maine Coon cat Hank, and I would one day love to open a Brainfit Kids animal therapy centre!
I am a paediatric functional neurodevelopmental practitioner and mother to four children. Having always been in the health field, when my 3-year-old son began showing signs of autism, I developed a passion for neurodevelopmental health, which has led me to the exciting work we do here at Brainfit Kids.
Having built a successful chiropractic clinic in Lower Plenty, I found myself desperate to understand why some of my youngest patients faced developmental challenges – such as autism, ADHD, sensory processing problems, movement and coordination issues, and learning challenges like dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and dyspraxia – while others progressed easily through school life.
To broaden my skills and further advance my knowledge, I pursued post-graduate qualifications in Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and Childhood Development Disorders.
My enduring passion for helping children with developmental and behavioural challenges led me to develop an effective program based on the work of Dr. Robert Melillo. This program has shown remarkable results.
I am the founder of Brainfit Kids, where I employ brain-based exercise programs to optimise children’s movement, learning and social skills. My proprietary program strikes the perfect balance of physical movement, mental challenge, and social exercises, helping children thrive.
Functional neurology is an exciting, dynamic field and a revolutionary clinical approach that leverages emerging technology and innovative thought to maximise neurological potential and improve quality of life. As a Fellow with the International Board of Functional Neurology, specialising in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders (FIBFN-CND), I am committed to continuous learning and skill advancement. Being a member of the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, the Australasian Academy of Functional Neurology, and the Mindd Foundation, I ensure that my patients receive the most current and evidence-based treatment protocols. Additionally, I am a provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a non-invasive listening therapy designed to reduce sound hypersensitivity and improve social engagement and feelings of safety.
With my unique program, I will help your child achieve improved brain balance and hemispheric integration, so they can enjoy better movement, learning, social engagement and interaction with friends, family and community.
